Sequoiadendron Giganteum

The giant redwood is a very large, long-lived evergreen tree with blueish-green, awl-shaped leaves, and reddish-brown cones. It has soft, red-brown bark.  Loves full sun and free-draining soils to get to its outstanding height.  Great as an avenue tree, shelter belt or as a specimen...as long as you have plenty of room!
