CJ’s Plant Farm is a large-scale nursery that is open to the public every Friday, Saturday and Sunday out in Amberley, North Canterbury.

On offer is a large range of landscaping plants, ornamental plants including shrubs, trees, natives, fruit, perennials and lots more.

CJ’s Plant Farm is the retail outlet of a much larger wholesale plant operation called Elliott's Wholesale Nursery. Elliott's has been producing top quality plants to supply retail chains, nurseries and landscapers, since 1989. 

CJ’s benefits from all of the above as it is onsite which means we cut out the middleman (Shipping, handling etc). This allows us to keep our prices at a very reasonable level and the plants don’t get moved around too much. Another bonus is that CJ’s gets to trial new products, grab any ‘end of line’ bargains for our customers and we can also offer bulk amounts of plants for those big projects.

CJ’s has a ‘Drive Thru’ layout, so if you know what you want (Or don’t want to unbuckle the kids), you drive thru, load your boot/trailer and pay at the end.

If you don’t know what you want, our averagely friendly staff are there to assist. You can just park up and go for a wander, many customers do!

We have an in-house Landscape Architect who is available for 30 min sessions at a cost of $60 (booking essential).

Craparea, the kingdom of the lost and forgotten. A great spot for the shopper on a tight budget. With an abundance of seconds, wonkies and end of lines, it’s a real favourite to score a bargin.
