Pot Size/Grade

Phormium ‘Bronze Baby’ is a dwarf compact evergreen New Zealand flax loved for its elegant fine foliage and rich bronze colouring. Forming a neat clump of narrow arching leaves, this smaller-growing flax delivers year-round structure and colour while fitting perfectly into modern gardens, borders and containers.

Its warm bronze to copper-toned foliage provides beautiful contrast against green planting schemes and works especially well in contemporary landscapes and mixed native gardens. Compared with larger flax varieties, Phormium ‘Bronze Baby’ offers all the toughness and visual impact of an NZ flax in a more compact and manageable size.

Hardy and versatile, this low-maintenance variety performs exceptionally well throughout New Zealand in coastal gardens, exposed sites and dry landscapes. During summer, mature plants may produce elegant flower spikes that attract tūī and other nectar-feeding birds.

Ideal for edging, feature planting, mass planting and pots, Phormium ‘Bronze Baby’ is an easy-care plant that brings colour and architectural interest to the garden all year round.
