Gardening Hoe Right Hand
Gardening Hoe Right Hand
The Maruyoshi Grubber is a strong short handled tool that’s great for ground work, and available in both Right and Left hand options. It is designed for digging and rummaging in the garden and is also fantastic as a weeder and planting tool.
The Maruyoshi Grubbers are incredibly light and made from high quality carbon steel, and the blade is tempered to give long lasting durability.
Weeding: By placing the grubber behind the weeds to be removed, pull the tool towards you to remove all the surface weeds and repeat for removing deeper roots. To remove weeds that grow between pavers, hold the tool so the blade is vertical, and the sharp edge is facing you. Gently pull the tool towards you lifting out the weeds as you go.
Digging: Use your tool like a hammer and drop the point of the blade into the soil. Pull the soil towards you as you lift the tool.
Planting: To plant seeds, drag the point of the grubber towards you creating a shallow trench. Then cover by pushing the soil over with the flat side of the grubber. Maintenance: Although these tools are made from high quality steel, they can still rust if not properly maintained. We recommend you clean and dry the blades after use and then store away in a moisture-free place.

Maintenance
Maintain a sharp edge with occasional sharpening using a whetstone or fine file. Applying a light coat of oil after use will help preserve the blade and extend the life of the tool.
As with all premium Japanese carbon steel tools, the blade may naturally darken and develop a protective patina over time. Any light surface rust can be easily removed with oil and gentle abrasion if needed.
With proper care, the Maruyoshi Gardening Hoe will remain a reliable and enjoyable tool for many years of garden use.
