Phormium ‘Jack Spratt’ is a compact dwarf New Zealand flax prized for its fine textured foliage and neat rounded habit. This smaller-growing variety forms a dense clump of slender olive-green to bronze-toned leaves that create year-round structure and subtle colour without dominating the garden.

Unlike larger architectural flaxes, ‘Jack Spratt’ offers a softer more compact look that is perfect for smaller gardens, borders, pathways and container planting. Its elegant narrow foliage creates movement and texture while pairing beautifully with grasses, perennials and contemporary landscape designs.

Tough, versatile and easy to maintain, this NZ flax performs exceptionally well throughout New Zealand and handles wind, coastal exposure, dry periods and changing conditions with ease. Mature plants may produce flower spikes in summer that attract tūī and other nectar-feeding birds.

Position
