Viburnum plicatum 'Mariesii'

Wedding Cake Shrub. A deciduous shrub, suitable for mixed borders, beds, or even as a large specimen shrub. It can also be used for informal hedging. Prefers full sun to dappled shade. The dark-green leaves, which turn red-purple in the autumn, beautifully contrast with the large white lace-cap spring flowers. It's an ideal choice for Japanese garden schemes and requires minimal maintenance - just an annual mulch of well-rotted manure or compost.
