Carpinus betulus (Hornbeam)

A great specimen or screening tree, perfect for formal gardens. Makes a fantastic hedge, especially as a pleached hedge. Deciduous with attractive yellow autumn colour then turn brown to form a jacket on the tree in winter. Hardy to wind and cold. Can be clipped to a hedge from 1.2m tall.
