Autumn Trees - Our Favourites!

STAFF AUTUMN FAVOURITES

You are probably seeing the end of the Autumn colours by now. It’s natures reminder that the deciduous trees are about to drop their clothes and weather out another winter in the nude. But not before putting on a show for us and what a show it is. At CJ’s, we all have our favourites and after a small amount of infighting…(Some of us liked the same thing), we have compiled our list of top pics.

Stay posted to see our new trees arriving soon.

Jim

Fraxinus angustifolia ‘Raywoodii’ (Claret Ash)

Dark and mysterious….a term often used to describe both Jim and this outstanding tree. The leaves start out as a rich, darker green and evolve to a dark red wine burgundy.

Debbie

Cercis ‘Forest Pansy’ (Judas Tree)

Debbies pick fits well with her delicate and “Princess” nature. A mix of rich auburn, yellow and dark red colourings cover this tree in the Autumn months.

Andrew

Acer rubrum (Red Maple)

The almost luminous red on this tree, in Autumn makes it a true ‘standout’….just like our Andrew!

Jane No 1

Liquidamber ‘Worpleston’ (Sweetgum)

Autumn has this tree looking like a mixed bag of sweets, a real rainbow of colours. Which suits Jane…she loves a sugar fix.

Jane No 2

Zelkova serrata (Japanese Zelkova)

A mixed colouring of dark red through to pinky fuscia to yellow leaves in Autumn. A wide spreading variety of Elm. Jane fancies the idea of an autumn tipple beneath this one.

Jeff

Ginkgo biloba (Maidenhair Tree)

Bright and sunny coloured leaves adorn this fun tree in Autumn. A real stand out, just like Jeff…different from the rest, that is for sure!

Caroline

Liriodendron tulipifera (Tulip Tree)

Lovely big leaves cover this great field tree. Starting out with fresh, lime green leaves, colouring off to golden yellow in Autumn. We are not too sure why it is Caroline’s favourite…maybe the large leaves make good umbrellas for little people?
